Japan Travel Translator Terms of Use

Japan Travel Translator is operated by Takahiro Fujii in Japan. These terms apply to the app, its support pages, and its related services. Questions can be sent to appworks.support@gmail.com.

The service

Japan Travel Translator provides speech, text, conversation, phrase-template, and on-device OCR translation features where the device, operating system, and language resources support them. The service may be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, operating-system behavior, language-resource availability, or an external service.

Translation, speech recognition, and OCR may be inaccurate. The app is not a medical or legal professional, an emergency service, or a substitute for public emergency services. Do not rely on a translation alone for contracts, prices, addresses, times, transportation, allergies, medical care, payments, legal decisions, or emergencies. Confirm important information with a qualified professional, a responsible provider, or public authorities.

User content and privacy boundary

Users keep ownership of their text, speech, and photos. The app does not transfer ownership of user input to the operator. The initial release is designed not to send conversation or OCR content to the operator's backend. The privacy policy describes the pseudonymous installation identifier, rewarded-ad verification, local history, and deletion limits.

Purchases and rewarded credits

The Remove Ads product is a non-consumable Apple StoreKit purchase. Apple handles payment and refunds through Apple's process. Restore is provided for eligible purchases. Rewarded translation credits are promotional service units with no cash value; they cannot be redeemed, transferred, sold, or exchanged.

Acceptable use

Users must not use the service for fraud, rewarded-ad abuse, unauthorized access, service interference, unlawful activity, or infringement of another person's rights. Users must not reverse engineer, reproduce, or modify the app except where applicable law permits it.

Intellectual property and changes

The app, its name, design, software, and related materials are protected by intellectual-property rights. Subject to these terms, the operator grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for its intended personal or service use. Reasonable changes may be made for law, security, service improvement, maintenance, or platform requirements. Changes will not remove non-waivable consumer rights.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan to the extent permitted by applicable law. Disputes remain subject to the courts having jurisdiction under applicable law; these terms do not designate a single exclusive court or remove consumer rights that cannot be waived.

Apple terms and contact
